Random Thoughts From Week 3 of NFL 2011

1) If the Bears could protect Jay Cutler properly, catch balls Cutler puts in receivers’ chests and Cutler would stop letting every 4th or 5th throw get away from him completely, they would actually win a fair number of games.
2) The Eagles are not a dream team and is Michael Vick not an elite quarterback.
3) Ben Tate is good, but the Texans need Arian Foster back if they’re going to make a long run.
4) The Bills are definitely legit, not only beating the Pats, but also coming back from 3 touchdowns behind to do it. Make sure you’re ready for the return bout in Foxborough though, Buffalo.
5) The Lions are also for real; even if it was the Vikings they came back on late in the game.
6) If the Rams could get players back from injury (i.e. Steven Jackson) and be more consistent, the division is there for the taking.
7) The Jets were trying to get Nnamdi Asomugha for a good reason.
8) Tim Tebow is good guy and an interesting player but he’s not going to solve all of the Broncos’ problems.
9) The Chiefs could use Andrew Luck (among other things) and may be already thinking about him.
10) Atlanta seems to have taken a step or two backwards and…
11) If there’s no such thing as a neck transplant, the Indianapolis Colts need to invent one. Now.
